I'm Celeste, a marriage and family therapist who works with couples, adults, and teens. My style is conversational, curious, practical, and direct. I'm not a therapist who only sits back and listens. I'll ask questions, help you recognize patterns, offer a different perspective, teach skills when they're useful, and sometimes challenge you when I think there's something important worth looking at or even give you a little homework.

I believe good therapy should help you understand yourself better while also giving you something useful to take into your life outside the therapy room.

My education and therapeutic philosophy draw on systems theory and a strengths approach, drawing on multiple models, including solution-focused therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and therapeutic tools from other models.

About

I spent my first career helping people and organizations build change. Today, I focus on working with adults, couples, and teens with ADHD, AuDHD, depression, life changes, anxiety, anger issues, trauma, and OCD. Enjoying working with couples, I also offer therapy services to monogamous and non-monogamous couples, specializing when there is one of each. Celeste provides unique Neurodivergent / ADHD-affirming couples therapy to couples when one or both members have ADHD and/ or Autism that impacts the relationship.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in B2B and B2C leadership in corporate America and volunteered and worked with the LGBTQ community for ten years, building youth and parent acceptance programs for parents of queer people in non-affirming areas throughout the US. I have extensive experience working with those navigating conservative religions like LDS and those from Mainline Christian and Evangelical backgrounds.

Education

I studied Leadership and Psychology at Brigham Young University - Idaho, Business Management at Harvard Extension School, and received my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University.

Outside of therapy, I love to explore the PNW landscape by camping, biking, and boating around the peninsula with her partner, stepkids, and grandkids with their Mini-Aussie pup, Jackson, and their Maine Coon kitten Conrad.
