You don't have to be wrong to apologize. Shit, you don't have to use the word sorry to be good at apologizing.
Apologizing can feel like admitting you're wrong, taking all the blame, or promising you'll never make the same mistake again. But healthy repair isn't about deciding who wins. It's about getting regulated enough to understand each other's experience, take responsibility for what you can, and find a realistic way forward. For couples with ADHD, autism, or AuDHD, learning how to slow down defensiveness and make room for both perspectives can be especially important.
